The Markies Music Festival has become one of the West Coast’s favourite live music weekends, bringing together great music, summer atmosphere and unforgettable nights in the heart of Oban.

Held annually on the last weekend in June, the festival features live bands covering all genres, traditional music sessions, and entertainment throughout the entire weekend.

As well as welcoming established acts, we’re passionate about supporting young and up-and-coming musicians by giving them the opportunity to perform and showcase their talent in front of a live crowd.

Festival weekends at Markies are about more than just music.

Throughout the weekend we serve a special street food menu alongside fundraising activities, games and entertainment for all ages.
Sunday Funday is all about families, with daytime entertainment and activities for kids creating a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere before the live music continues into the evening.

This year, we’re proud to be supporting Fèis with fundraising activities taking place throughout the weekend.
